Dr V Venkata Rao

Dr D Venkata Rao (M Tech, PhD) is Head of Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE) department in Narasaraopeta Engineering College.

Dr Venkat Rao contributed more than two decades of his career to research and academics. He started as a Production Engineer in an electronics company in Hyderabad. He then worked as a Senior Research Assistant in the Research and Training unit of Navigational Electronics (NERTU), Osmania University, Hyderabad.
From the role of Assistant Professor to Professor, and later to head of the ECE department, Dr Rao achieved a parabolic rise in his career.

The HOD, through his experience and connections, brought a substantial grant for National Seminar under Seminar Grant (SG), supported by the AICTE, New Delhi, for conducting demand-driven research and innovations in the college.

Venkata Rao also guided research scholars and post-graduate students as well.
As Chairman of Board of Studies for curriculum preparation, Dr Rao conducts committee meetings for improving regulations to meet the contemporary developments in Engineering & Technology.

To impart industry-specific learning to students and domain-specific expertise to the department’s faculty, Dr Rao undertook international conferences consecutively for three years. He also conducted faculty development programs, workshops, and guest lectures in the department of ECE to strengthen students’ knowledge.
