Established in 2004 with unit no.AP-07-016, right from its inception, the unit endeavored into dynamism for serving the society and including service motive in students. Apart from the regular activities, the unit continuously helps the community through the arrangement of blood donation to the needy from the pool of blood donors from the staff and students.

About the adopted village:
Guravayapalem,a medium sized village 5km from Narasaraopeta on narasaraopeta –kotappakonda road, is fundamentally agriculture based.majority of the villagers are farmers and agriculture labor.Main crops grown are paddy, chilly,cotton,vegetables and papaya
The land in irrigated by the Nagarjuna Sagar Dam right canal and has abundant water supply supported by rural tanks and rains.
The villagers are moderately educated. How ever they have consciousness for betterment and uplifting their lives. Further they also rear cattle like cows, buffaloes for milk and support dairy industry. The village has a elementary school.
