Narasaraopeta Engineering College conducted the Orientation Program for the newly admitted B.Tech students, 2019-2023 Batch on 7/08/2019.
All the students from every undergraduate branch: Civil, mechanical, electrical, electronics, computer science and Information Technology attended the event along with their parents. Departmental HODs and other teaching staff were also present. Addressing the new batch of ” going to be engineers”, NEC Chairman, Sri Mittapalli Venkata Koteswara Rao said, ” To uplift the society, technology is crucial and to enhance the value of technology, engineering is inseparable”. ” NEC is not just limited to imparting higher education, we thrive to learn about new technologies that are changing the world and prove our students a hands-on experience on it.
As a bit of advice, he asked the students utilise every aspect of the college from libraries to the workshops. And grab every incoming opportunity laid for them.
He wished that every student pass out with flying colours and get job offers from the campus itself.
Next, Vice Chairman, who looks after the much-needed transformations in the college, Mr Chakravarthi Mittapalli took charge of the podium, sharing his experience. He said, ” Success should not come to an end, you should be successful in everything you take up” Further, he asked the students to be aware of what’s all happening in the world.
He highlighted NEC’s groundbreaking record of 847 job offers from MNCs and Indian companies in 2019.
Also speaking on the occasion was Mr Mittapalli Ramesh babu, who gave the students a sigh of relief speaking about “No Ragging” policy in the college. He assured that there will be a dedicated anti-ragging unit in the college and students or parents can contact the administration at any given time.
He wished students to achieve their fullest potential in their 4 years in NEC.
Next, Principle NEC, Dr. M. SREENIVASA KUMAR narrated the story of NEC, how it was the only technical education in the Palnadu region back in 1998. The college has produced 10000 + engineers so far.
Further, he made the students take an oath on ” banning the six c’s from their life”

And focus only on one C – Career, which matters in the end. He highlighted that the students will be learning- wisdom, emotional IQ, and personality development.
At last, Prof. Dr. K Ponnari Lakshmi, academician and head of Basic Sciences and Humanities branch reassured security of every student- both days-scholars and hostelers. Multiple co-ordinators assigned for the Anti-ragging were called upon the stage. She closed her speech by welcoming all the parents to the college premise.
