An important milestone was brought to the spotlight by the unveiling of a statue at the ECE Block honoring Bharat Ratna Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam by Narasaraopeta Engineering College (NEC). Renowned scientist Sri G. Grahadurai, the Deputy Director of SDSC SHAR, graced the occasion. He conducted the inauguration ceremony with our Chairman, Sri M.V. Koteswara Rao.
Sri Grahadurai paid a heartfelt homage to Dr. Kalam, a visionary scientist from his own hometown, expressing his pride in his memory. After the unveiling, he enthralled the students and professors with an inspirational speech about the difficulties ISRO had during the Chandrayaan missions, especially overcoming weather-related constraints.
The day continued with enthusiastic student participation in the Quiz, Drawing Competitions, and Science Fair, exhibiting the inventiveness and intelligence of the young people. As stated by NEC Chairman Sri M.V. Koteswara Rao, Vice-Chairman Sri M.S. Chakravarthi, Secretary Mr. Ramesh, Principal Dr. S. Venkateswarlu, Vice-Principal Dr. D. Suneel, and Head of the ECE Department Dr. V. Venkata Rao, congratulations to all of the participants for their exceptional efforts.
This historic event reminds us to never stop being moved by Dr. Kalam’s vision and enthusiasm for innovation.
