More than 40 students from Narasaraopeta Engineering College’s mechanical, electronics and electrical departments have been enrolled in the ARC 2.0 programme.
These students are undergoing a boot camp which teaches them the structure of robots, kinematics, sensors and actuators along with industrial applications in ARC 1.0 programme by the European Centre for Mechatronics (ECM), RWTH University, Aachen, Germany in association with APSSDC.
ARC 2.0 programme covers practical training on IGUS robots. NEC College has procured two IGUS robots; one with Electromagnetic gripper and the other with Pneumatic gripper. These two robots are abundantly used in low-cost automation industries.
ARC2.0 students will be trained in the above two robots for four weeks. The training classes will be handled by professor Starke, ECM, Germany through online mode and offline classes will be taken by trained NEC faculty. At the end of the programme, students will undergo the qualifying exam and will be certified by ECM, Germany.
