Narasaraopeta Engineering College (NEC), Guntur posted a groundbreaking record with 847 students getting offers from MNCs and Indian companies in 2019. In the on-campus drive, a mindblowing 55 companies participated. This is the most number of companies coming for campus placements in the whole of Andhra Pradesh for the 2018-2019 academic year.
Students from B.Tech courses, and MBA, M.TECH courses sat in the placement drives. Among the incoming companies, IT companies were the top recruiters. The next big recruiter was the Information Technology Enabled Services (ITES) companies. Further, many core engineering companies for Mechanical and Electrical branches also came.
Speaking on the success of the students in placements, NEC Vice-Chairman Mittapalli Chakravarthi stated ” Our students have proved that academic success goes hand-in-hand with real-time tests”
“I congratulate the placement cell for their hard work in equipping students with soft skills and professionalism”
Mr Mittapalli Chakravarthi, who hails from an IT & Industrial background admitted that “ We managed around 350 plus internships for the batch” And clearly that experience counted in the interview process”
Further, Companies making the highest offers were: CTS, TCS, WIPRO, and MPHISIS. Most numbers of students were recruited by TCS, CTS, WIPRO, FSS, GGK Tech, HCL , NAL Soft, Infosys, Axis Bank, Cyient, Syntel, and EDUFIC Digital.

As per the placement coordinators of the college, they are working towards placing the students who have failed in the interviews. For the purpose, they will be applying for off-campus recruitments and will reach out to the Alumni network.
