Narasaraopeta Engineering College (NEC), located in the Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh, is one of the autonomous engineering colleges in Andhra Pradesh. NEC got the NBA accreditation twice and the NAAC accreditations with ‘A’ Grade. The college is permanently affiliated to the JNTU-K and has registered itself among the best autonomous engineering colleges in the State.
NEC was established in the year 1998 and is situated in the suburbs of Narasaraopet, which is noted as ‘The Gateway of Palnadu’. The college aims to nurture excellence in the education and research field through its campus, which is spread across 40 acres of land in Narasaraopet.
Narasaraopeta Engineering College’s object is to emerge as one of the finest autonomous colleges for technical education in AP. Being the only autonomous college in the Guntur district with an NBA accreditation, the NEC has become a beacon of hope for young minds in Guntur, and Palnadu regions for education.
NEC offers Bachelor’s Degree in specific disciplines such as Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communications, Mechanical, and Civil. Besides restructuring the graduates, the college also offers opportunities for master’s programmes in engineering, computer application, and management disciplines.
To impart quality education imbued with values and knowledge, the college has a native MSME-recognised incubator centre for student-entrepreneurs to upscale and exhibit their business ideas and transform them into reality. To this end, the college supports students by providing them infrastructure, managerial and networking systems. NEC’s incubation centre has incubated 12 ventures and launched six of them so far.
The engineering college in the effort to bring innovations to the country is set to host an International Conference on Mobile Cloud Computing, Communication & Engineering from June 22nd, 2018 to June 23rd, 2018. The object of the conference is to gathers innovators, engineers, doctorates, entrepreneurs from all over the world. One of the renowned scientific paper promoter and publisher, Labtech Innovation is sponsoring the event.
NEC encourages its students to take part in extracurricular activities as well as, its students have represented the JNTUK team in various sports events such as Kabbadi, Volleyball, and Kho-Kho tournaments. Moreover, twelve of NEC students have been selected for the national Smart India Hackathon-2018, from all over India.
The college offers lucrative opportunities for students by facilitation on and off- campus placement drives. Companies such as Tech Mahindra, Mind Tree, Quest Valley, Varun Motors, and Paytm have conducted the recruitment drives in NEC.

The labs have been installed with adequate computing facilities with licensed software packages.
