What We Do
Our Electrical & Electronic Engineering department aims to give students a fundamental understanding of electricity and use the knowledge to design and enable machines that run the modern world. We provide an education grounded in physics.
Our faculty and staff prepare several students for inspiring careers in industries such as manufacturing, aerospace, avionics, power and energy, automotive, and more. By the end of the four years, our students are equipped to become professionals, scholars, academicians, researchers, and entrepreneurs.
What We Offer
NEC’s EEE department offers an AICTE-approved four-year undergraduate programme (B.Tech) in Electrical & Electronics Engineering. The JNTU-Kakinada-affiliated department is twice accredited by the NBA, in 2009 & 2013, and is certified by the ISO.
Our EEE course offers expertise in electrical machines, power electronics, generation, transmission and distribution of power, power system operation and its control using computer methods such as artificial neural networks, Fuzzy Logic, micro-controllers, Digital Signal Processing and VLSI Design, Embedded Systems, and more.
In 2004, the department offered a postgraduate program (M.Tech) with specialisation in Power & Industrial Drives. Since 2013, it has introduced a new M.Tech program in Power Electronics & Electrical Drives.
The department also offers a diploma program, which had a capacity of 60 students back in 2010 and 120 back in 2013. Our School of EEE also is affiliated to the State Board of Technical Education & Training, Hyderabad.
We have a proficient and highly experienced faculty at EEE to provide world-class education.
Our EEE branch has state-of-the-art laboratories that let students to train in using advanced technologies and devices and gives them hands-on experience through innovative projects for the industry.
The department conducts research programs, seminars, and workshops to widen the knowledge base of students and faculty members.
