Narasaraopeta Engineering College (Autonomous) celebrated “Sankranthi Sambaralu” on January 7, 2025, with vibrant enthusiasm and cultural fervour. The festival highlighted the importance of Sankranti, marking the harvest season and expressing gratitude to the Sun, Earth, and cattle.
The campus was alive with colourful Rangoli designs, Bhogi Mantalu, and the aroma of Pongali being prepared, creating a lively festive atmosphere. Students, dressed in traditional attire, took part in various cultural activities and competitions, including Rangoli, 3D Art, Poster Painting, and a Ramp Walk showcasing traditional outfits.
The event was graced by the college’s esteemed Chairman, Mittapalli Venkata Koteswara Rao Garu, Vice-Chairman Mittapalli Chakravarthi Garu, and Secretary Mittapalli Ramesh Babu Garu, whose support contributed to the event’s grand success.
Principal Dr. S. Venkateswarlu honored the winners of the competitions with prizes and certificates, while Dr. K. Ponnari Lakshmi, the event’s Coordinator, highlighted the role of the celebration in bringing together students and faculty to honor traditional customs.
The Management expressed appreciation for the efforts of all organizers and participants, ensuring that the celebration was truly memorable.
