PCB Designing & Fabrication Workshop at Narasaraopet College

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) at Narasaraopeta Engineering College (Autonomous), Narasaraopet, successfully organized a hands-on training program on “PCB Designing & Fabrication” for III B.Tech EEE students. The event took place from November 25th to 30th, 2024, in collaboration with SRC E-Solutions, Vijayawada. Mr. K. Sudhakar served as the resource person for the workshop.

The training covered a wide range of topics, providing students with practical knowledge and skills in PCB design and fabrication. The following topics were covered during the sessions:

  1. Introduction to PCBs: Basic concepts of Printed Circuit Boards.
  2. Components of a PCB: Understanding the essential elements involved in PCB design.
  3. Introduction to Proteus Software: Learning to use Proteus software for PCB design.
  4. Creating a Basic Schematic in Proteus: Hands-on experience in schematic design.
  5. Step-by-step creation of a schematic: A detailed guide to building a schematic.
  6. Converting schematic to PCB layout: Transitioning from schematic to PCB design.
  7. Understanding the PCB Fabrication Process: Learning the steps involved in fabricating a PCB.
  8. Transferring Design to Copper Board: Practical process of transferring the design to a copper board.
  9. Etching Process: Introduction to the etching techniques used in PCB fabrication.
  10. Understanding Two-Layer PCBs: Explaining the concept of dual-layer PCB designs.
  11. Hands-on: Designing a Two-Layer PCB in Proteus: Students actively created a two-layer PCB.
  12. Introduction to Microcontrollers: Basic knowledge of microcontroller integration with PCBs.
  13. Applications of PCBs: Exploring various real-world applications of PCB technology.

The workshop provided students with valuable exposure to both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, preparing them for further exploration in the field of electronics design and development.
