The Department of Civil Engineering at Narasaraopeta Engineering College (A) organized an expert lecture on the “Role/Importance of Railways in Civil Engineering.” The talk was delivered by G. Laxman, Senior Section Engineer at SCR-Piduguralla. The lecture aimed to transfer knowledge directly from experienced professionals to the aspiring students of NEC.
Approximately 90 students from the III and IV years, along with faculty members of the Civil Engineering department, attended the lecture and gained valuable insights. The speaker covered various topics, including the role of railways in civil engineering, the historical development of railways, a comparison of rail transport with road transport, and components such as rails. The session proved to be highly beneficial for the budding engineers of NEC.
