Engineering is the professional skill of using science to best convert available natural resources for human benefit. The entire Indian engineering community takes great delight in celebrating September 15 as Engineer’s Day with enthusiasm and excitement. It is commemorated on the birthday of Dr. Mokshagundam Visweswarayya, a brilliant engineer and contributor to progress. He is considered as one of history’s finest engineers because of the huge contributions he made to India through his vision and commitment to the engineering profession.
The celebrations of the Engineer’s Day were organized by CEANEC of the Civil Engineering Department. Sir Mokshagundam Visweswarayya garu was honored on this occasion by Sri M.V. Koteswara Rao garu, Chairman, Sri M.S. Chakravarthi garu, Vice Chairman, Sri M. Ramesh garu, Director, Principal, Vice Principal, Heads of all Departments, faculty members, and students as they celebrated this auspicious day with humility and gratitude. In his presentation to the crowd, the chief guest, Mr. T. K. Parandhama Reddy garu, D.T.O., Narasaraopet, advised students to look up to Sir Mokshagundam Visweswarayya garu as a role model and to make a commitment to use knowledge and intelligence for the good of society and humanity.
