In a milestone achievement, 16 students from Narasaraopeta Engineering College got placed in Multinational companies like TVS, ISUZU, KIA Motors, Royal Enfield, Hero Moto Corp, Vespa etc. The placement drive was conducted by ECM (European Centre for Mechatronics-Germany) & APSSDC (Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation) at Vijayawada recently. All 16 students were part of the course- ARC (Applied Robot Control), which was conducted by ECM Germany in partnership with APSSDC. The placement drive was conducted on the occasion of the promotion of 40 students from the course- Applied Robot Control, ARC 2.0 to 3.0. NEC, Guntur is one of the very few engineering colleges in Andhra Pradesh that has the facilities to undertake such courses.
The ARC course has been designed keeping in mind the requirements of the multinational companies which are using Industrial Robots in their product manufacturing and other sections. As per details from the ECM authorities, Narasaraopeta Engineering College’s 16 ARC students belonged to Mechanical, ECE and EEE engineering branches.
Speaking on the results, Vice-chairman of NEC, Mittapalli Chakravarthi said: ” I congratulate the students for getting placed in these prestigious companies.” NEC signed an MOU with ARC, ECM Germany last year and has started a Robotics Lab on campus. Further appreciating the faculty behind, Mr Chakaravarthi said, “Our faculty development workshops have panned out well for the growth of the institute.” This is just an uptrend in the overall placement process of the college” He added that these partnership placement drives are add-ons to regular placements every year.
Principal- Dr M.Sreenivasa Kumar, Secretary Sri. M.Ramesh, SPOC Dr. D.Suneel and college chairman Sri M.V.Koteswara Rao acknowledged their gratitude to ECM Germany and APSSDC organizers and applauded the selected students for bringing such prestige to the college.
